Photography has been a hobby of mine now for over 10 years. While my career is in the technology field, my true passion is looking through the lens trying to catch that perfect moment. After the birth of our son, I realized that one of the most treasured things we would have besides the memories of his childhood, were the pictures that captured those memories. As he's grown, I've realized that time passes much too fast, but even though the moment is gone; the excitement and beauty of those moments are captured forever.

As we look back over the years at these pictures, we are reminded of the steps he has taken over the last five years. We can cherish all the wonderful details of his life that we might forget as time goes on, but we'll always have them captured. I guess that's one reason I prefer more candid, real photos versus the standard posed shots. Sure, everyone still likes the normal group shots from time to time, but I think the greatest photos are those that capture life as we live it. After all, that's what our memories are made of.
